Domain Michel Gros

The fabulous Domaine Michel Gros is located in the heart of the Vosne Romanee village.

The village of Vosne Romanee will be well known to those of you with a healthy interest in red Burgundy as it is home to the world’s most famous Burgundy, Domaine Romanee Conti. The Gros family are synonymous with the village of Vosne Romanee as they have been making wine there since 1830. Michel is the sixth generation Gros to make wine at Vosne Romanee. Other members of the Gros family making wine in Vosne Romanee are Michel’s sister, Domaine AF Gros, his brother, Domaine Frere et Seour and his cousin Domaine Anne Gros.

Jasper Morris MW wrote in his book, INSIDE BURGUNDY, “Michel, the eldest of Jean Gros’ children took over running the family Domaine fresh from wine school in 1975, on account of his father’s ill health. Repeated accolades, including being the International Wine Challenge’s Red Winemaker of the Year twice running, show that this is a producer who delivers fine wine.”

The accolades are wonderful but the wines certainly speak for themselves.
