Ian has been involved in the wine industry as a winemaker for over forty years, since the establishment of his family winery, Chateau Leamon, in Bendigo in 1973

In more recent times, Ian has established a business which imports Champagnes, and he also conducts tours to Champagne and Bordeaux. Ian will conduct his first tour to Burgundy in 2015.

Ian is well known to many of you through his importing company Champagne Connection, and prior to that, Chateau Leamon. 

 

 

 

 

John Crowe comes from a furniture retail background, and perhaps most importantly, he has been a dedicated wine consumer for more years than he can remember. 

John and his wife Julie are committed Francophiles, visiting France almost on a yearly basis, particularly enjoying the wine and food regions. 

 

 

The Genesis for Wine Connect.

In recent years, Ian's business Champagne Connection, has been presented with opportunities to import wines other than Champagne. This has come about through Champagne Connection’s tours to Bordeaux and Burgundy.

It was decided to pursue some of these opportunities, and so the idea for Wine Connect was born. 

What does Wine Connect Offer?

Wine Connect is a new company specialising in importing wines from France, jointly owned by Ian Leamon and John Crowe. We currently import wines from Burgundy, which we have sourced and selected on the ground in France. We also have available a select range of wines from Bordeaux and Champagne, as well as wines from some of Australia’s best boutique wineries.

All of our wines are wines that Ian and John consider to be slightly difficult to find, yet provide excellent quality and value for money. 

Whatever the wine, you can be assured that it is of the highest standard, as Wine Connect will only be stocking wines that both Ian and John would be happy to have in their own cellars. 

Wine Connect is based in Bendigo in Central Victoria, and all our wines are cellared in a climate controlled cool store.

Annual Indent Offers

Wine Connect will offer you the opportunity to buy wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux on an indent basis prior to shipment. This requires payment at the time of ordering, thus providing you with the best possible price for your wine. Delivery of your wine will be approximately 6-10 weeks following the indent offer.

Once the wines arrive in Australia, they will also be available for purchase via our website.
